One of RVE’s key partners is Bruce Engel Design Inc. (BE Design). The partnership began in 2012 when the two companies’ owners met in Kigali while working on separate projects in Kayonza District, Rwanda.

They quickly discovered a shared design and build philosophy and collaborated on their first housing project in Rwinkwavu, Rwanda. As part of this initiative, they engaged the local community through design workshops to better understand housing challenges and co-create solutions that addressed community needs.

Since then, RVE and BE Design have worked together on several major projects, including the Partners in Health/Ministry of Health dormitory housing, the Komera Leadership Center, the Kula Vocational Training and Community Center, and the Virunga Mountains Spirits Distillery and Eco-tourism project. In their collaboration, BE Design focuses on design while RVE leads construction, working jointly from project inception to final handover.
